Yes, You Can Do A Triathlon

I have roped my brother-in-law Nick into doing a triathlon. Wisely, Nick wants to start off with a sprint triathlon. We’ve decided to do Tri Latta, a sprint triathlon in June. Seriously, if I can do that, anyone can survive a triathlon and have a blast doing it. If you’ve been reading for a while, you may remember that I famously had panic attacks in the lake during not just my first but also my second triathlon. If you’re doing a sprint triathlon, you don’t need to worry – a mountain bike or hybrid is fine. The bare bones isn’t too bad. All you really need to do a triathlon is: goggles, a bike, a helmet, sneakers, and something to wear. No, in all seriousness, if you are doing a sprint triathlon, you don’t need to spend that much time training. The hardest part about triathlon training is focusing on not one, not two, but three sports. If it’s your dream to do a triathlon DO IT! It’s so fun, it’s completely attainable, and you’ll feel so proud of yourself afterwards.

About

Depending on where you end up on the site, you can read about long-distance bike touring, the history of cycling and of course browse our in-depth bike reviews and price comparison. Originally the site was only about ice biking and cycling in the winter. Avi lives in Dhaka, Bangladesh and loves biking around in the city. Starting with a road bike, he now ride a hardtail mountain bike. It’s been a great pleasure for him to tour the beauty of the nature on his bike. Jerry O. My fascination with bikes began when I moved to Japan 10 years ago, where the most convenient form of transport are the road bikes. Mads lives in Copenhagen, the world’s #1 bike city. He is mostly into urban cycling, so the bikes he have at the moment are a standard city bike and a cargo bike. Biking has been my main mode of transportation for about 9 years now. I love helping people find the bike that is right for them and I manage a bike rental shop in Portland, Oregon, USA. -.
